Veins On Poplar Leaves Turn Black Then Leaves Turn Yellow And Drop

Question From: D. Rogers - ILLINOIS
Q: I have a very mature yellow poplar (40 ‘) that the veins on the leaves hare turning black then the whole leave turns yellow and falls off the tree. Half of the tree has turned like this .

Poplars are not long lived trees. If these were my trees I would get an onsite inspection from a professional, a certified arborist. To find one in your area go to www.tcia.org and enter your zip code. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
