Veronica Used As Ground Cover Seems Black And Dead In Spots

Question From: G. Lea - Boyertown, Pennsylvania, United States
Q: the veronica I am growing as ground cover seems to be dying in spots black and dead. How do I treat this fungus without killing the good fungi in the soil?

A: Veronicas don't usually get fungal disease. Too rich of soil, poor drainage and too much fertilizer may be the issues. I would use a product called Actinovate as a spray and a soil drench.
