Question From: n. perchard - Southfield, Michigan, United States
Q: Hi Nancy, Re viburnam leaf beetle, I have been fighting it for about 3 years. I have found the best solution to be Bayer systemic granules, one year dosage (imidicloprid). Does not poison flowers and fruits according to research. The beetle is going after lantana, I believe common name Mohican. My arborist so also mentioned they are seeing activity of VBL on hydrangea, if you can believe that! Just thought you might find this helpful.
Thank for the heads up. I know about the Bayer. Problem is 1 - I go organic when I can and 2. Folks jump all over me when I mention a Nionic pesticide. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
