Viburnum Leaves Are Curling

Question From: Deerfield, Illinois, United States
Q: 3 full size viburnims were planted a month ago. 1 is doing well. 2 look sick. Leaves curling up or gone. What do I have to buy and spray to get them back before I lose them? Thank you.

I can't answer that Sheri. Leaves usually curl from lack of water. They should be watered daily or every other day for the first couple of weeks if it doesn't rain. The bigger the shrub, the more water it needs. Hopefully the drainage is good. Do not fertilize them until next late autumn. Fertilizer can do more harm than good. Good Luck and Happy Yardening, Nancy.
