Virginia Creeper Leaves Get Spots Turn Yellow Or Red And Die In Late Summer

Question From: MONTANA
Q: I have a Virginia Creeper which starts out healthy every year and then towards the end of summer the leaves get spotted and turn yellow or red and then die. I water it daily. Please see uploaded pictures.

My guess is it's suffering from a fungal disease. Take photos and samples of leaves to an independent garden center for an accurate ID and method of control. Spraying the leaves with water daily will encourage disease. Water it at soil level. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
