Question From: T. Brown - TEXAS
Q: I own a 5 yr old Weeping Bald Cypress Falling Waters. I live in Dallas Tx. Temperatures are in the high 90s. I have hundreds of little cocoons on the tree and it is losing its green needles on part of the tree. Otherwise it is healthy. What us this and how do I treat it? Will it kill my tree?

A: I believe it's the cocoon of a bagworm. I think your tree is in deep trouble and needs a professional ( a certified arborist to treat ASAP). To find one in your area go to www.TCIA.org and enter your zip code in the find box. Best Nancy
