Weeping European Larch Branches Have Started Turning Brown With Small Creamy White Nodules

Question From: A. Hoffman - Buffalo, New York, United States
Q: I planted a weeping European Larch 2 years ago and last year a few of the branches started to turn brown with small creamy white nodules and some stems had partial green healthy growth. This year the possible disease has expanded to more branches. Can you give me some advice how to treat or remedy the problem ?

Your best bet is to get an onsite inspection from a certified arborist. To find one in your area go to www.tcia.org and enter your zip code. Waiting a year to allow the disease to spread was not a good idea. A bad guess on my part could cost you your tree. Best Nancy
