Well Watered Ivy Is Turning Yellow

Question From: Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States
Q: Yellowing ivy already has lots of leaf mulch and there is lots of rain this year so other answers don't seem applicable to my case. I have not found aphids. Critters like coons regularly visit the yard so I wondered whether they might be using the ivy for a lav. But the yellowing leaves are in different places, not all in a clump. Suggestions?

A: If the leaves have spots its probably a fungal disease. My guess is too much water. Thick leaf mulch will hold water and there has been lots of rain. Hope for warm sunny days. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
