Q: Do the brown seeds drop off Emerald Green Arborvitae in the summer (northern lower Michigan)?
A: Those are empty cones you see dropping. Mother Nature's way of reproducing. They open and disperse their seeds in fall and winter and begin dropping in spring. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
