What Fertilizer And Dandelion Killer Should Be Used On A New Lawn

Question From: OHIO
Q: can i use any fertilizer or dandeloin killer on a new yard??

Depends what you mean by a new yard. Newly seeded - how long ago? Newly sodded - how long ago? If you only have a few dandelions I would spot treat them with a ready to use spray such as Bonide Weed Beater Ultra. Better yet dig them out :-) Do not use a weed and Feed. If you seeded and used a starter fertilizer, you don't need to fertilize now. Yardener recommends using an organic slow release fertilizer such Ringer Lawn Restore. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
