What Fertilizer To Use For Wintergreen Boxwood That Has Surrounding Rocks Instead Of Mulch

Question From: Toms River, New Jersey, United States
Q: I had new landscaping planted in late August. My question about wintergreen boxwood. I see a little bronze coloring on 2 of the 3. I would like to know when I fertilize in the spring, should I use granular or liquid . The planting area has brown rocks instead of the usual mulch. thank you

I recommend Espoma Holly Tone. Sprinkle it on the rocks and water it in very early spring. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
