What Is Good Shade Tree Replacement For Oaks

Question From: Howell, New Jersey, United States
Q: Hello Nancy, We live in NJ (zone 8 I believe). We just took some oak trees down near our house b/c of safety concerns. But are missing the shade, and shielding from neighbors. We are hoping to replace with shade trees which will not be a safety concern to the house -- and would love to have evergreens of possible. Do you have any guidance for us, please?

I suggest you contact a certified arborist in your area for advice. I live in zone 5 and so what works for me may not work for you. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
