When Growing Amaryllis In Water How Often Should Water Be Replaced

Question From: H. Grossoehme - Westland, Michigan, United States
Q: When growing an amaryllis in water, should I drain and replace the water periodically? Also, what keeps the roots from developing mold? Thank you very much

The water should be changed every 3 days or so. Do no allow it to become cloudy, Keep it fresh and to not allow the bulb itself to sit in water. Go to the white flower farm web site (www.whiteflowerfarm.com) to find all you need to know about growing bulbs in water. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
