Q: The aphids have decimated my delphiniums this season, I have sprayed them several times with insecticial soap and permetheum (spelling?). They are all wilted, the flowers were brief and are gone. Should I just call it a season, and cut them down,dispose of them and cover them with mulch and try again next year?
A: That's what I would do. Don't cover them with mulch now. Follow Mother Nature's course, when the leaves drop, it's time. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
