Question From: M. Thomas - MICHIGAN
Q: Should I prune back my clematis vines and, if so, is it too late/cold to do so this year?
A: First you need to identify the variety. Generally, clematis that need pruning are done so in early spring. However, those that bloom in spring and early summer are trimmed after flowering. If you don't know the variety, wait until it blooms and take photos to a good independent garden center for an accurate ID. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
