Question From: Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, United States
Q: Dear Nancy, Yours is the first article I turn to on Fridays and I read the one about the Coneflower Supreme 'Cantaloupe' with interest as I have brick on my house that is the same color. I thought it would look great with this perennial across the front. When I enquired at my local nursery, English Gardens, they said that they had not gotten this new variety and probably would not next year. I started researching online and found plants (too late to start this year) and no seeds except for one source that said that by planting the seeds the flower may revert to the parent. Help! Where did you get your plants? Did you plant them from seed? If so, where did you get them? Thank you for any help you may be able to give me.
A: I got mine as a plant at Foglers in Rochester. Ask at Telly's and George will probably order it for you. I do not believe this one is grown from seed as it is said to be sterile. The Michigan Gardner Magazine lists most of the garden centers in Southeastern MI. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
