Sorry Earl, I don't have a source. I think it was introduced by Ferry Morse in the 70's. I have to think it's a regional item as we don't have gators here in Michigan. I'd contact the heirloom seed houses. Please let us know if you find a source. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
