Which Part Of Daylilies Are Edible

Question From: S. HEMMEN - Charter Township of Clinton, Michigan, United States
Q: Which part of daylilies are edible? (By humans...not animals)

The flowers, flower buds, young stems and tubers are all edible. I have never dined on them, so I can't vouch for the flavor. My brother is mad for stuffed zucchini flowers. They are stuffed with goat cheese, dipped in an egg batter and fried. You could do the same with day lily flowers. Bon Appetite, Nancy and Happy Yardening.
