Q: My hickory tree has been dropping small green seeds that stain my sidewalks for several weeks. What are they? I never had this problem before. Is the tree on its way out?
A: I can't answer that question Ron, but I do know trees produce tons of seeds when they are in stress - ( maybe fear of dying) . It does not mean all is lost.
