Why Did Pecan Trees Not Produce Nuts For First Time In Many Years

Question From: N. Phipps - Mindenmines, Missouri, United States
Q: My pecan tree didn't produce any nuts this year. The neighbors trees are bare as well. It's the first time in nearly 20 years that it hasn't had a good to very good crop. Has there been anything attacking pecan trees specifically?

Not that I know of, but we do not grow these trees in Michigan where I garden. Contact your state cooperative extension. To find it, try this link in your browser: http://ipm.ucanr.edu/GENERAL/ceofficefinder.html. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
