Question From: F. Knapp - Utica, Michigan, United States
Q: Nancy, my wife has received hydrangea plants for Easter, Mother's Day, etc. After there usefulness in the house, I have planted outside. None of them have bloomed in the 3 or 4 years I have had them in the ground. Any ideas of how I can get them to bloom; or do I just dig them out and throw them away ????
These hydrangeas are florist varieties and not meant to be used in the landscape. Visit your independent garden center or nursery to find a hydrangea that will bloom. Do not choose an Endless Summer named variety. I've had good luck with Bloom Struck or any paniculata. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
