Question From: M. Lopez - Bear Lake, Michigan, United States
Q: Hi nancy what should i do with my hyacinths in the spring when they bloom they get too tall and fall over is it anything we can do to stop this problem for the next year or not . When we buy them at a store in pots they are short and stocky. Why are ours not the same when planted outdoors. Thank you very very much Mario and Sue..
A: They are lacking sun that we can't provide and very cool temperatures. One option is to prop them up with a bamboo stick. I would probably use them as a cut flower, but they need special care.Check out this website. www.doityourself.com/stry/cutting-hyacinth-flowers Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
