Q: Why does my oriental poppy only produce foliage? I've been waiting for over 3 years for it to produce flowers. The first 2 years I had it, it bloomed 1 or 2 blooms, and then it stopped.
A: Plants usually fail to flower as a result of too much fertilizer and/or not enough sun. Sharp drainage is also key for poppies. They thrive on neglect. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
