Q: How does removing flowers before seeds form help? I usually remove them in spring as they are unsightly. Thanks
A: Removing spent flowers before they set seed may extend the bloom of some plants. Producing seed takes energy. That said, many seed heads are left in tact over the winter to provide seasonal interest. Best Nancy and Happy Yardeing.
