Will Boxwoods In Planters Survive Indoors During Winter

Question From: Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
Q: I have two beautiful boxwoods in planters I don't want to put them in the ground as a live in Canada and it's already November. If I brought them inside do you think they would survive or should I just plant them?

A: They are best overwintered in a protected area such as an unheated garage. Do not bring them in the house, they need a period of cold. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
