Will Crepe Myrtle With Missing Top Retain The Same Color Flowers

Question From: J. Stark - CALIFORNIA
Q: A deer broke my new crepe myrtle tree about one fourth down from the top and left just a broken off small stick. It was growing almost a year and had leaves. It is now sprouting again about four or five inches from the top. Will it still have the same color Flowers? I thot I’d lost it and was so tickled to see it sprouting. I thot I’d have to get a new one.

A: It should be. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
