Will Hydrangea Set Buds For Next Year

Question From: S. Fredericks - MICHIGAN
Q: All of my hydrangea flowers buds were frostbit this spring, so I clipped the plant back, and of course got no flowers this summer. My question is, will they set any buds for next year? because so far I do not see any evidence of it. BTW, my husband and I read your column and take your advice always! Thanks a bunch!

Susan, Mine are just starting to form buds now. Just be sure to keep them watered so the soil stays moist. Best and Happy Yardening, Nancy
