Will Poplar Tree Roots Grow And Cause Problems If Trees Are Cut Down

Question From: West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, United States
Q: I am dealing with the roots of 3 large poplars in my flower garden. I am seriously contemplating having the trees cut down. Will that take care of my poplar root problem or will the roots continue to flourish. It makes my gardening a real chore and I am not young anymore but I love to garden (dig in the dirt). thanks, kerry I am not getting your newsletter. I may have put comcast.com in my orginal signup when I meant comcast.net

Kerry, If you have the stumps ground out the roots will die more quickly. How long it will take them to decompose, I can't answer that. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
