Wine And Roses Weigela Bushes Seem To Be Dying And Drying Out From Bottom Up

Question From: K. Lopretta - St. Louis, Missouri, United States
Q: I have wine and roses weigela bushes recently planted this year. It looks as if the bottom half moving upward of them is dying. They look like rose stems that are drying. Please help! I don't know what to do and don't want to let them die.

Sounds like they are in need of water. Deep watering twice a week and mulching around the shrubs with 3 inches of soil is the best care you can give them. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
