Question From: P. Sears - PENNSYLVANIA
Q: Last fall we planted some portuguese cherry laurels in our side yard. Now that the temperatures are starting to warm up here in Central PA. we are hopeful that our plantings will show some new growth. Unfortunately, it looks like the plants received some winter damage. The plants are not as full as when we bought them and the leaves look scorched on the edges . Is there something we can do to reverse this damage?
A:
Patti, Cut back the dead foliage and be sure to keep the shrubs well watered. They will recover with time. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
