Question From: s. colson - Broomfield, Colorado, United States
Q: My yellow marigold flowers are turning black and dying. What could be the cause
A: Your marigolds have a disease known as black rot. If the plants are badly infected dig them up with surrounding soil and throw the whole mess in the trash or burn it. Your best bet is to plant something else in that space. Or you might treat the soil with a soil drench, such as ACTINOVATE, and spray new plants every 10 to 14 days. Be sure to follow the package directions. This product is certified organic, OMRI listed, and safe for use on edibles also. Best, Nancy
