Young Blood Maple Is Not Growing Much

Question From: H. Rowe - Gastonia, North Carolina, United States
Q: My young blood good maple that I planted in late March got two late frosts, the leaves got burned, although I've fertilized and put down Epsom salts, it still not looking dark or doesn't seem to be growing much, although I see the new growth, is there anything I can do to help it? I did put some Bayer tree and shrub pest solution around the trunk.

A: Be sure to keep the root ball watered so it stays moist, especially in hot weather. Mulching with 3 to 4 inches of organic mulch. with be helpful. Best Nancy
