Question From: B. Picciano - Ocean Springs, Mississippi, United States
Q: Hi, My willow tree is four years old and has grown very rapidly. I see small red balls on the trunk of the tree and would like to know if it's normal or if it needs treatment. Last summer the leaves started falling very early and I know if these small red growths have anything to do with that. I'm sending a photo. Thanks, Bill

A: Bill, I am not a tree specialist. I suggest you get an onsite inspection from a certified tree arborist. To find one in your area go do www.tcia.org and enter your zip code. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
