Zinnia Leaves Are Looking Like Spider Webs

Q: My zinnia leaves are looking like spider webs...what can I do?

A: Something is chewing on them. Japanese Beetles are bronze and green colored bugs that feed during the day. Hand picking early in the morning is helpful. Slugs, members of the snail family feed at night. Diatomaceous earth can be effective. In the US we use products that contain Iron Phosphate. They are OMRi listed and non poisonous.
