Zinnia Leaves Are Turning Yellow White And Turn Crispy Starting From Outside Edges

Question From: CALIFORNIA
Q: My zinnia’s leaves are turning into a yellow-ish white color it’s also crispy to the touch and the petals (originally dark red) are becoming lighter and crispy as well all of these things are starting from the edges too.

Sounds like powdery mildew. You can get a fungal spray but if it's too far along it won't help much and the damaged leaves will not repair themselves. I'd take photos of your plants to a good independent garden center for an accurate ID and control. It's best to begin before this disease strikes. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
