Caring For Buckeye Trees

Buckeyes require very little care beyond the obvious. You should follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Watering can then be reduced after the roots are established. In the first few years, these trees will appreciate some fertilizer out to the drip line in the fall. After four or five years, no fertilizer is needed.
