Potting Soils

A "Potting Soil" or "Potting Mix" is the medium you should use when growing plants in any kind of a container, inside or outside the house. These products are called "soilless mixes" because they do not contain any soil or dirt from outside. Trying to grow plants in dirt in a container is an invitation to disaster. To fully understand these products, see the file for "Choosing Potting Mixes" on the left.
