Songbirds for Decoration

These pretties are not often spotted in the urban and suburban neighborhoods; but you are more likely to find them in the exurbs and definitely in the rural country areas. Folks in the city or suburbs putting out one or more hummingbird feeders may very well attract that miniscule beauty. Bluebirds and Orioles are gorgeous creatures and when in you neighborhood will eat their share of pest insects. Purple Martins are real picky about their housing, but if you are lucky enough to attract a martin colony, your mosquito problems are gone.
