Synthetic Insecticides For The Lawn

WHILE WE HAVE STOPPED RECOMMENDING SYNTHETIC INSECTICIDES IS MOST AREAS OF THE HOME LANDSCAPE, THE LAWN IS STILL A PROBLEM FOR THE ORGANIC INSECT CONTROL PRODUCTS; GRUBS BEING A GOOD EXAMPLE.  WE HOPE IN A YEAR OR TWO TO HAVE NATURAL SUBSTITUTES FOR THESE PRODUCTS.

The synthetic insecticides in this section have been designed for use on lawns. Many of those products use a new form of pesticide chemistry called "pyrethroids". Pyrethroids are synthetic materials designed to imitate natural pyrethrum. These synthetic materials have the basic chemistry of pyrethrins but are modified to improve persistence, and insecticidal activity.

Be sure to check the Active Ingredient for each product to be sure you understand what is in the product and how much chemical is being used.
