The branches of the Snowbell hanging over a patio can be quite impressive where the flowers and interesting bark can be viewed up close. I should note that the Snowbell flowers attract honey bees in large numbers so folks with an allergy to bee stings might not wish to sit too close to this tree when it is bloom. The rest of us know that honey bees never sting a person unless they are attacked, so we can enjoy the beauty of the flowers and be fascinated by the tireless work of the bees. Snowbell trees also makes a wonderful addition to a mixed shrubbery border. Due to its small stature and vase-shape, it can even make a nice street tree where overhead space is limited.
