Lehigh Bin
This is a very simple bin which can be made of scrap lumber or with lumber purchased new. It will hold about 22 bushels of material when filled.

drill 7/16 hole 1 inch in from end in center of 2 x 2 x 6.
CONSTRUCTION STEPS:
1. Cut 10 pieces 2 x 2 x 12 into identical 3 foot lengths.

2. Since you have to drill a hole in to each end of 40 pieces of lumber, it helps to have a guide or fixture that helps you make the hole in exactly the same place every time. The fixture in the sketch is made of scrap pieces of lumber and nailed together in some fashion. Now the fixture is turned upside down from the view in the sketch and laid over the end of each piece of 2x2 to drill a hole in exactly the same place every time. The hole in the fixture guides the drill down into the 2x2.
3. Drill holes in each end of the 40 pieces of the 2 x 2 x 3.
4. Select a level area to assemble the bin. Lay out 4 pieces of 2 x 2 sides square with each other and with the holes lined up. Insert the 4 rods far enough into the ground to hold them vertical (about 10 inches). Add the sides and ends as shown in the sketch. The caps are added to the top of the rods simply so avoid sratching a person brushing by the bin. They are optional.
