Is Sulfur Harmful To Pets Or Those With Allergies

Question From: Arlington, Texas, United States
Q: Harmful to pets and individual with sulfur allegeries?

Sorry Joe, I'm not sure what your question is. As the Yardener information on sulfur says, "Sulfur is non-toxic to mammals but may be irritating to the skin and especially eyes." I am not sure if you mean allergy to "sulfa drugs" or "sulfur/sulfite containing chemicals" ... if the former you don't need to worry, if the latter you are wise to investigate further, but it may also not be a problem.  If you are concerned for someone who has general allergies (e.g. Hay fever) or asthma, then there may be some risk of increase of symptoms with use of Sulfur. You should contact the product manufacturers for usage and warning information based upon your specific concerns. Best and Happy Yardening, Nancy.
