Honey Bear F1

The Honey Bear F1 was recently introduced! It is a delicious, small size, 2009 All-America Selections winner.  The plants produce unique, small, 1–1 1/4 lb. (500 g), 4" rounded fruits are just the right size halved for single servings. Honey Bear sets a new standard for taste in acorn squash – deliciously starchy and sweet. Compact bush plant resists powdery mildew.

The Table Gold Acorn Squash is bright gold in color with pale orange flesh. Can also be harvested as a summer squash when skin is a lighter yellow. This is an open pollinated squash variety with a compact bush growth habit. Water regularly, but do not over water. Attractive to bees, butterflies, and/or birds.
