Cooking Swiss Chard

Chard can be eaten as a steamed vegetable, braised, stir-fried and added to soups and casseroles. Mom used to boil it and about ruined it. When steaming keep an eye on it and serve it just as the leaves become just a bit tender. Most recipes for spinach can be made with Chard as a substitute.
